I Hope you are all keeping well and REMEMBERING that you are amazing and perfect exactly as you are.

So I started this blog in 2015 and being on lockdown I have no excuses not to get back to posting on here. I thought I would take the first post to explain a little about why I started a blog and Instagram 5 years ago and the reasons behind my passion for being an advocate for a plant based lifestyle.

Basically my decision to become vegan started 10 years ago and the reason behind this was I couldn’t face the reality that I was contributing to cows being milked. The images that kept flashing in my mind were humans being milked in the same way; it made me sick and I couldn’t get the idea out of my mind. Today 10 years later being vegan is seen as trendy and almost cool. The ideas and concepts around a vegan lifestyle have changed and there is so much out there explaining the benefits of a plant based diet. For me being vegan has become my passion and a part of my personalitY. I feel it in my heart and the health benefits are just an added bonus.

Now Through out my time being vegan I have had times which I have broken it and consumed foods containing dairy products… I don’t judge myself for this as no one is perfect and all you can do in life is try your best.

The increase in technology and social media can make us believe that people exist with perfect lives and this is not the case.

I just want to take this time and open up about the inadequacy self concept I have been battling with which when going to the root is likely a factor why my blog has been left for the past 5 years. We all have these feelings and life can feel like a constant battle judging yourself for not being good enough or not reaching a specific goal. We may look at others success and compare ourselves and this is dangerous because we have to accept and love ourselves exactly as we are, which can be the hardest thing to do. We are all fighting our own battles, we all have our own issues and thats ok thats it’s makes us human.

It so important to love yourself exactly as you are.
